How do you keep sour watermelon candy from going sticky?
A sour sanding is sugar and acid, and both pull moisture out of the air. When that happens, the crisp coating turns into a syrupy film and the pieces stick together. The crisp bite is gone. Our shelf life guide goes deeper; the short version:
- Keep cases sealed until you need them, and reseal opened bags.
- Store candy somewhere cool, dry and dark, away from sun, doorways and warm vents.
